What you will find in Terrell Some of the homes in the City of Terrell date back to the late 1800s. While touring the historical streets, you will marvel at the architectural beauty of Victorian embellishments, Art Deco curves and Arts and Crafts geometric simplicity. Lovely ironwork fences and colorful gardens emerging from their winter sleep will awaken the creative artist in you! Whether you paint in color media or have a love of drawing, you will enjoy documenting the historical sites found in this quiet town just outside of Dallas .

Eligibility

Paint Historic Terrell is open to all artists, 18 years and older, using any fine art media. All art is to be created during the week of March 21-28. Canvas, board and paper supports will be stamped at the Terrell Marketing Center , 216 W. Moore , from 9-11:30 a.m. during registration and the paint out (except Sunday). Please note: Reference photos and sketches may be used to complete your artwork; however, the painting or drawing must begin on site.

1st place $300

2nd place $150

3rd place $50

Paint fee for the entire week is $30 when postmarked by February 21. Thereafter, a late entry fee of $40 will apply.
